What is a pledge, and why does my pledge mean so much to Christ’s Church?
A pledge is the money each of us commits to help this community grow. Pledges pay for the salaries of the clergy and staff, the upkeep of the facilities, and the outreach, music and education programs. We finalize our budget each autumn after the annual pledge drive, based on the results of the campaign. If we commit more as a faith community, we have the capacity to fund more programs and activities. If we commit less, we have to restrict or cut out entirely programs, facility maintenance, or, in the worst case, staff.
Christ’s Church is our spiritual home, and your pledge helps us extend a warm welcome to many, many others. Your pledge says, “I am a part of this community, and this faith community and its goals are important to me.”
