Ways of Serving

One of our core values is service. Specifically, we are committed to

SERVE by:
  • Helping, healing, and better equipping people to handle life's hardships.
  • Being present - head, heart, and hands - for each other, rejoicing and sharing our blessings.

We serve God by serving our friends, our neighbors, and our worldwide community. Peace is not just possible but essential when people of honorable spirit recognize more likenesses than divisions between themselves, becoming we, not us and them. So, we start with our congregation: the holy listening that comes from simple friendship, celebrates achievements and mitigates sorrows. That same listening grows into support for our friends and their families in the church during times of trouble and grief. It blooms when it branches out to bringing ministry to those who cannot attend church but still want to connect with the Divine by offering ourselves as Lay Eucharistic Ministers. It multiplies when we extend the ministry into our community and beyond, offering our talents, time and treasure as a sacred gift to help bring Christ’s healing wholeness to those in need.

Our outreach team has supported ministries such as St Clare’s table and the Douglas County Task force to help our neighbors through tough times. We have also been blessed to be of service to communities overseas.
