Connect

• Take some cookies, plants, flowers, books or magazines to a local care facility or nursing home. Consider Cantril House, Castle Rock Care Center or Brookside Inn.
• Read a favorite Christmas story together; or read the Christmas narrative from the Bible.
  Invite a single person or neighbors to join you in an activity (ideas: dinner, story time, game night).
• Adopt a grandparent or a grandchild.
• Look for ways to support a single parent.
• Offer to babysit for someone in the parish, your neighborhood or a friend.
• On December 27 and January 3, introduce yourself to at least one person or family you don’t know, or don’t know well, at Christ’s Church.
• Have a family meal without the television being on.
• Talk about your day or one thing that each person is grateful for.
• Bring a neighbor or friend to church.
