New to Christ's Episcopal Church?

Welcome to Christ's Episcopal Church in historic Castle Rock, CO. At Christ's Episcopal Church, we embrace scripture, tradition, reason and experience. Our parishioners range in age from newborns to nonagenarians. Some families have been with the church for generations, yet many are new. Some of us were raised in the Episcopal religion (cradle Episcopalians), many of us started our spiritual journey in other faiths, and some of us spent time in life with no faith at all. So, when we say all are welcome, it is because all are here.

Our mission: To experience Christ's love by embracing the Wonder in all through prayer, study, service and play.

Prayer

We value the time-honored formal rites and we embrace elements of more casual contemporary services. Since we love music, one of our Sunday services is always a festive Eucharist, which includes the joyful sounds of traditional hymns as well as inspiring contemporary compositions. We also respect the centering stillness of prayer and meditation, so we offer contemplative services for those in search of quiet reflection.

Study

We offer a wide-ranging Christian education program for children and adults. Classes usually start at 9:15 and last an hour - they are between our Sunday services so people can stay after the first service or come early before the second. We provide Sunday School for children at that time as well as during our 10:30 service. Our nursery is open from 9:00 a.m. until noon, so you can reconnect through education as well as worship. We also have Brown Bag Bible Study for women on Mondays and men's Bible Study on Saturdays. Finally, we schedule occasional education series designed around specific themes throughout the year.

Service

Called to serve? We offer a variety of ways to serve those in need. Our Outreach team sponsors activities local and global, including food and clothing drives, activities in conjunction with the Douglas County Task Force, participation in the jail ministry, and support for overseas missions. You can also serve the church community by ministering to those who are not able to come to church, being an acolyte, singing in the MusicMakers choir, playing in the house band, and so much more.

Play

At Christ's Church, you'll hear the word "WELCOME" over and over. You will find friends here who respect your gifts and challenge your assumptions. We each started our church experience by being inspired by the worship services, yet we now stay to be with our friends as well. We celebrate with each other- coffee hour between services, frequent parties at our houses or the church, brunches, potlucks, dinner groups, musical events, artisan guilds, and spur-of-the-moment get-togethers. We support each other in times of trial or sorrow - through prayer, by simply listening, and by reaching out if one of us is in need. We plan outings with our children, recreational activities that help them grow closer to God through the great gift of play. If you're new to the area, or simply feel isolated, come be with us. You are welcome.
