New to Us?

Welcome to Christ’s Episcopal Church in historic Castle Rock, Colorado.  Whether you are new to Douglas County, exploring the Episcopal church, or want to learn more about the faith community here at Christ’s Church, we hope we can provide some useful information. You’re also invited to attend one of our Discovery Workshops, which we hold four times a year. In each workshop, Father Rick invites you to awaken to your environment, your feelings, your relationships, and join him in this workshop where you'll discover some answers and a few more questions to a variety of thoughts and non thoughts. In the process, you will learn more about yourself, deepen your spirituality, and discover your place to be within our welcoming, hope-filled, encouraging congregation.

New to Douglas County?

In Douglas County, we blend the old and the new, the urban and the rural. Castle Rock, the county seat, was settled by enterprising pioneers in the mid 19th century. Today, the area is home to the entrepreneurs who carry forward the pioneer legacy.  Spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains, affordable houses on wooded, rolling terrain, friendly, safe neighborhoods, award-winning schools, abundant recreational activities, and short commutes to the Denver Tech Center and downtown Denver all contribute to our quality of life. Whether you’re a young family who wants room to play, or an active retiree who wants to get away from it all (but remain close to some of it), you’ll feel at home here.

Douglas County has consistently been one of the fastest growing counties in the United States for the past five years. We were number one between 1990 and 2000, according to nationalatlas.gov.

The Castle Rock area

Castle Rock combines the charm of a small town with proximity to Denver’s city attractions – art, music, museums, and children’s activities. Residents of suburbs like Castle Pines, Larkspur, Parker, Franktown are a short drive from Christ’s Church, as are inhabitants of neighborhoods like Founders Village, The Meadows,  Red Hawk Ridge,  Castlewood Ranch, Plum Creek, Bell Mountain Ranch, Crystal Valley Ranch,  Diamond Ridge Estates, Metzler Ranch,  The Woodlands and Escavera.
