Our Writers
At Christ’s Episcopal Church, we savor language. We memorize a well-turned phrase and we linger over the evocation of a haunting image. We love our Book of Common Prayer, and the uncommon beauty of its wording. Most of all, we appreciate the glimpse into the soul’s connection with the Divine inspired writing provides. We have gifted speakers, as you can hear from our homilies. We love words set to music, as indicated by the enthusiasm and skill of our choir and House Band. But there is such strength in the inspired written word, alone on a page, no face to interfere with the voice as we read, that draws us closest to God.
We offer here a few inspired selections by the writers among us. We are always adding more, so please, if you feel the call to write and to share, get in touch. (Though we cannot publish everything, we will publish what we can) If you want to share your reaction to one of our selections, please also email us.
