Music, Art and Words

Music is your own experience, your own thoughts, your wisdom. They teach you there's a boundary line to music. But, man, there's no boundary line to art.

At Christ’s Church, we respect and encourage the creative, the lyrical, and the inquisitive. If you love music, images, or words, you will find kindred spirits here. We celebrate music with the Musicmakers, our choir; the House Band that accompanies these fine vocalists; the Artisans' Guild, our artist group; our writers; and even film makers. Our loves of words and lyrical language is reflected and encouraged by our clergy, as you can hear when you listen to the MP3s of their sermons and homilies and read Ruminations from the Rector, a monthly series of written reflections by Father Rick.

We offer concerts and musical activities throughout the year, the occasional film screening, reading recommendation, and an artists’ gallery where we showcase our members' work. Some pieces are also on display in the Sanctuary. In September, 2007, we put together an Arts, Tarts and Treasures garage and art sale, offering works by our artists, tasty treats by our talented cooks, and lightly-used items from our congregational closets for sale to the local community. Look for a similar event in the autumn of 2008, sponsored by ECW. For more information, please email info@christsepiscopalchurch.org
