Senior High School Youth Group: Sundays, 9:15 am, in Bowen Hall

We meet on Sunday mornings with the intention of creating a safe and sacred space in which personal and community growth happens. Through prayer, study, service and play we awaken to see more of the sacred in each moment. We are planning some activities outside of the church to take advantage of all the recreational activities Colorado has to offer. (Sometimes, it is easier to see God's hand in the whitewater of a rafting trip or the communion with nature on a trail ride than in any indoor space.) We also want to participate more fully in the outreach the church does. We can help with the soup kitchen, work with at-risk children in our community, and, as we have done in the past, participate in missionary trips.

The Colorado diocese is a rich source of activities for youth. You can now register for Episcopal youth grades two through twelve at Trinity Ranch. The theme this year is “Disciples of the Galilean – Live Man’s Treasure,” offering age-appropriate activities for children and youth.  “Campers will be immersed in following the footsteps of Jesus during his three year ministry with his disciples. Along with these Galilean adventures, campers will have traditional camp experiences such as leadership skills, hiking, fishing, archery, horseback riding, and more.”

Learn more about the camps for children, youth and adults, which also include new wilderness camps, here: http://www.coloradodiocese.org/03_faithformation/tr_flyer.pdf.

Coming in October in the diocese: Genesis weekends, “designed to provide a fun, non-threatening environment in which young people can discover and grow in their understanding of the Christian Gospel.”
