Shrove Tuesday, February 21 @ 6:00 pm - Pancake Supper and Talent Show - 6:00 pm
Traditionally, Shrove Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday, which is when Lent begins, was the day people ate all their perishable and rich food, so it wouldn’t go to waste it while they fasted during Lent. This year, we will celebrate Shrove Tuesday with a pancake supper, some fun music, and a talent show. Arrive at The Gathering Place by 6:00 pm, and be ready to eat and have fun! Bring your whole family and invite your neighbors too.
Some of the Education Team are coordinating this event and are seeking donations of frozen sausage links and non-caffeinated drinks or juice for the children and youth. Contact the church for more details.
We'd LOVE to hear and/or see you (talented or non) play an instrument, sing, tell jokes or a story, juggle, perform magic tricks, dance...whatever you want to do. Adults and kids are all invited - there is no age limit to participate. To sign up, see Phil Jordan in The Gathering Place on Sundays.
Price is $5 or an appropriate donation at the door to benefit all ages of Children’s Education.
